Steering Rack Part replacement

The steering rack is best described as a cog of teeth connected to the steering cylinder. One side of the rack has teeth and is connected to the steering pinion, whereas the other is flat. The basic design of the steering rack has remained the same for many years. When the steering wheel is turned the cylinder can move the driveshaft and then the car's wheels will turn in the required direction.

One of the main problems that can affect the working of the steering rack is oil leaking onto it. This can lead to slipping, which is dangerous. When having the car serviced it is important to make sure that the steering rack is looked at as part of the deal, as oil damage and leaks can lead to expensive replacement parts as well as time spent off the road.

They accessed several companies that could help and indeed I chose a company that provided the item in a timely fashion. Saved me substantial time phoning around locally often getting a negative response. Thanks

I had 2 very quick responses. I chose Oldham breakers. They were very helpful, answered my questions and assured me if the part was unsatisfactory they would take it back. The part, a wing mirror, was excellent and my car is now whole again. Thanks
