About the Daihatsu Copen

The Copen, named for a contraction of “compact” and “open,” is a small coupe-cabriolet produced by Japanese brand Daihatsu. It has a foldable metal roof that hides in the trunk when the car is open, occupying the entire boot space. The Daihatsu Copen was marketed in the UK over a six-year period. It initially had a 0.7-litre turbocharged engine with 67 hp but was also manufactured with a 1.3-litre engine with 86 hp. Having been in production for over ten years and one of Daihatsu’s most popular cars, parts are not hard to come by.
