Load Cover replacement
The parcel shelf is a removable part of the car and a very handy thing to have. It is the shelf which sits behind the rear seat and can be used to store small items although care should be taken not to obstruct the view through the rear window. By taking the parcel shelf out, additional space can be created for the boot as it is directly above it. Straps can be found on either side of the shelf and in most cases when the boot is opened the parcel shelf will lift with it. Removable parcel shelves are normally found in hatchbacks.
They are generally made from a rigid plastic although some may be fabric covered. Some cars have been given a 'roller' type shelf which may not be suitable for placing heavier items on, but they do not need to be removed completely to be out of the way.
