About Audi Cars

Audi first came to light in 1899, when August Horch originally founded AUDI in Zwickau on July 16, 1909. Horch was asked to leave his company so for reasons of fair trade, Horch created a new name for the company by translating his own into Latin, which means "hark!", "listen!" AUDI. The second company to was now set up by August Horch and started out as Audi Automobilwerke GmbH, Zwickau, on April 25, 1910.

In the early days Horch had great success and created a well-established brand and was at the top end of the market for a long time. AUDI was creating a vast number of customers by supplying standard cars to luxury models. 1932 the four rings, the emblem as we know it today, was formed by the coming together of DKW, Wanderer and Horch, three of the largest automobile companies.

In 1980 AUDI became the car to beat in rallying with the Audi Quattro dominating proceedings. This car brand provides cars with unique capability to display style, luxury and comfort as standard. The Audi car company comes out with a new model as and when new technologies are introduced to enhance the Audi range further and keep up with the latest trends. The Audi car company started with a single plant in the German countryside. Today with hard work and perseverance it has formed plants around the globe from China, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Hungary.
