Van & Car Wiper Motor replacement

The windscreen wipers on a car rely on a motor and linkage to work. This motor is found underneath the car bonnet and will be used to keep both of the wipers working. Most models of cars will have three settings for the speed of the wipers. The wiper motor is connected to the wiper linkage and the two together can transmit the power required to move the wipers. The linkage is a cam which spins as a result of the wiper motor turning and these are connected to the wipers themselves.

The wiper motor is electric and contains a circuit that can tell when the wipers have reached the 'down' position. The power is constant until the down position is attained and then the power is cut. The circuit is also responsible for stopping the wipers from working when the intermittent setting has been chosen.
