Clutches replacement

Every car needs a clutch. This is because the engine is always in motion and for the car to be able to stop, without damaging the engine you need to disconnect the wheels from the engine. The clutch allows you to do this in a smooth and controlled way. The clutch works upon the principle of friction. What the clutch does is to create friction between the clutch plate and the flywheel that connects to the engine. What happens when you press your foot on the clutch pedal is that the hydraulic piston pushes on the release fork and then this puts pressure on the diaphragm spring. The diaphragm spring is then pushed inwards, resulting in a series of pins pulling the pressure plate away from the clutch disc. The clutch is then released from the moving engine. As you can imagine the clutch undergoes extreme wear and tear and must be checked regularly as they sometimes need to be replaced.
