Engine Cylinder Head replacement
The cylinder head is the part of the engine that covers the cylinders. It can be made from either aluminium or cast iron depending on the age and model of the vehicle it is fitted to. They are also one of the most important parts of the engine. As the engine works on compression, the cylinder head is used in conjunction with a cylinder head gasket which helps to create an air-tight seal therefore ensuring the engine performance is optimum.
If the cylinder head is not working as well as it should, engine performance will seem sluggish. This is because the compression will be reduced and overheating can occur. It is important to make sure that the oil and the filters are changed regularly and that there is always enough coolant in the system. Regular maintenance and services can ensure that the engine is working as well as it can be.
